Marketplace Nature and Platform Role
UsedPhone.bd operates exclusively as an online classified advertising platform that connects independent buyers and sellers of mobile phones, tablets, and related accessories in Bangladesh. UsedPhone.bd is not an online store, auction house, retailer, or middleman merchant. We do not manufacture, own, store, inspect, test, or take legal custody of any physical device advertised on the platform.
All sales, negotiations, physical handovers, and monetary transactions take place directly between individual buyers and sellers. Users are entirely responsible for exercising proper diligence, inspecting devices, verifying IMEI legality, and agreeing on payment terms.
User Accounts and Eligibility
To create an account or publish an advertisement on UsedPhone.bd, you must be at least 18 years of age and capable of entering into legally binding contracts under the laws of Bangladesh. When registering, you agree to provide true, accurate, current, and complete information, and to keep your credentials confidential.
Seller Commitments and Ad Guidelines
Every user who publishes an advertisement on UsedPhone.bd agrees to the following commitments:
- Lawful Ownership: You warrant that you are the lawful owner of the device or have explicit authorization from the owner to sell it. The listing of stolen, looted, lost, or illegally acquired devices is strictly prohibited and subject to immediate reporting to law enforcement authorities.
- Accurate Descriptions: All listed specifications, storage capacity, physical condition grades, battery health metrics, and repair histories must be truthful and accurate.
- Unencumbered Devices: Devices must be free from any active iCloud activation lock, Google Factory Reset Protection (FRP) lock, network carrier blacklist, or outstanding hire-purchase installments.
- Authentic Photographs: Images uploaded must represent the actual physical handset offered for sale. Misleading stock photos or images copied from third-party websites are prohibited.
Buyer Responsibilities and Due Diligence
Buyers using UsedPhone.bd agree to practice thorough due diligence prior to concluding any transaction:
- Buyers must insist on an in-person physical inspection of the handset in a secure, high-traffic public location before making any payment.
- Buyers must independently verify the device IMEI number by dialing
*#06#and checking its status through BTRC NEIR channels. - Buyers must never transfer advance booking fees, courier deposits, or token money before physically holding and inspecting the smartphone.
- UsedPhone.bd bears no responsibility for any transactions, agreements, or financial losses arising from a buyer willingly transferring advance funds to any third party.
Prohibited Conduct and Marketplace Integrity
Users shall not engage in any of the following activities on UsedPhone.bd:
- Publishing duplicate, spam, fraudulent, or deceptive advertisements.
- Advertising counterfeit, clone, replica, or counterfeit smartphones disguised as genuine brands.
- Harassing, threatening, defrauding, or abusing other members of the community or staff members.
- Attempting to compromise platform security, reverse engineer source code, or deploy scraping crawlers without express permission.
- Tampering with IMEI numbers, hardware serials, or software firmware to disguise device origins.
Advertising Platforms and Third-Party Links
UsedPhone.bd may feature advertisements served by third-party advertising platforms (such as Google AdSense and promotional partner networks) as well as external links to third-party websites. Users acknowledge and accept that UsedPhone.bd does not endorse, control, or assume liability for third-party commercial advertisements, external websites, or third-party products. By using the platform, users consent to the display of these advertising units.
Direct Contact and Administrative Communications
By registering an account, submitting a contact inquiry, or publishing a listing on UsedPhone.bd, you acknowledge and agree that platform administrators may use your provided contact details (email address or phone number) to contact you regarding listing verification, account security notifications, fraud prevention checks, or customer service inquiries.
Intellectual Property Rights
All logos, branding, trademarks, platform user interface designs, graphics, and proprietary software code belonging to UsedPhone.bd remain the exclusive intellectual property of UsedPhone.bd. Smartphone brand trademarks (such as Apple, Samsung, Xiaomi, Google, OnePlus, Vivo, Oppo, Realme) belong to their respective corporate trademark holders and are utilized on UsedPhone.bd solely for descriptive and identification purposes.
Disclaimer of Warranties and Limitation of Liability
UsedPhone.bd is provided on an "as is" and "as available" basis without warranties of any kind, whether express or implied. UsedPhone.bd makes no warranty regarding the accuracy, completeness, authenticity, safety, or quality of any device advertised by third-party users.
To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, UsedPhone.bd, its directors, developers, and operators shall not be liable for any direct, indirect, incidental, punitive, or consequential damages resulting from transactions between buyers and sellers, fraudulent representations by users, device defects, or service interruptions.
Account Suspension and Termination
UsedPhone.bd reserves the absolute right to edit, unpublish, reject, or permanently delete any listing, and to suspend or permanently ban any user account that violates these Terms and Conditions or engages in deceptive practices, without prior notice.
Modifications to Terms
UsedPhone.bd reserves the right to amend these Terms and Conditions at any time. Modified terms become effective immediately upon being published on this page. Your continued access to the platform following any revisions constitutes your binding acceptance of the updated Terms and Conditions.
Governing Law and Dispute Resolution
These Terms and Conditions shall be governed by, construed, and enforced in accordance with the laws of the People's Republic of Bangladesh. Any disputes arising out of or in connection with the platform shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the competent courts in Dhaka, Bangladesh.
